QUAIL WALK RANGE INFORMATION

Shooting Times:  
9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. daily, (closed noon-1:00 p.m. for lunch), Saturday - Thursday; Friday 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15. Open at 7:45 a.m. for sign-up. Begin shooting 8:00 a.m. sharp. Range will close at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15 for lunch. Championship at 12:01 p.m.  
 
1. All daily ties must be shot off before 11:00 A.M. next day after match closes for Matches 1 through 8. All first place winners in Matches 1 through 8 and perfect scores eligible for Championship. 
 
2. Any ties in Matches 9 through 22 will be shot off Saturday, June 15 at noon.
 
3. All ties, except Match 14, Hunter’s Match, shot sudden death.
 
4. Only one each first, second, third place per contestant in daily matches 1 through 8.
 
5. Match 16, Trade Gun only, flintlock no rear sight above plane of barrel.
 
6. Match 9, Doubles Match and Match 14, Hunters Match will be all report birds.
 
7. Match 14, Hunter’s Match, no commercial pre-loads allowed. In spirit of Hunter’s Match, only over-shoulder pouches. For safety, after loading, hold gun in safe manner, muzzle up or place in designated stand. Do not rest against a tree. No loading from stand. Leaving designated loading and shooting area for any reason after match begins disqualifies shooter.
 
8. Match 23, Protection Match, ask for details.
 
9. All strings will be counted from positions one through ten, regardless of where you start on the field.
 
10. If you see any unsafe practices, please bring to attention of Range Officer immediately.
 
11. Eye and hearing protection strongly recommended.
 
12. No smoking or alcohol beyond posted signs and no alcohol will be consumed while participating in a match.
 
13. Juniors shoot low-gun. Sub-juniors may shoot either low or mounted gun.
 
14. Shooters responsible to check match designated on relay sheet when signing up.
 
15. Any changes in this program will be posted on the range bulletin board.
