PISTOL RANGE INFORMATION

  • Relays are 30 minutes, subject to range officer’s discretion. All matches must be fired by the last relay of the last Saturday of the matches.
  • No shooting on Sunday.
  • Awards ceremonies at 9:00 Sunday morning.
  • It is recommended that all competitors read the NMLRA Range Rules and Regulations before firing.
  • Concentrate on safety as well as your score, please!
  • Supervision and assistance will be available to all new and/or troubled competitors. Request such from one of the range officers.
  • PISTOL REGISTRATION/REPAIR CENTER FEE—$2.00.
Awards and Classification Information:  
  • Awards: Three awards in Grand Aggregate for each class, including the Temporary Masters. Two awards in individual matches in Grand Aggregate except Temporary Masters, who compete against the Master class.
  • High Master: Any competitor having fired 91% or more (910/1000) over the 1,000-point National Championship course or (546/600) over the 600-point National Match Course.
  • Master Class: Any competitor having fired 88% or more (880/1000) over the 1,000-point National Championship Course or (528/600) over the 600-point National Match Course.
  • Expert Class: Any competitor having fired 83% or more (830/1000) over the 1,000-point National Championship Course or (498/600) over the 600-point National Match Course.
  • Sharpshooter Class: Any competitor having fired 78% or more over (780/1000) over the 1,000-point National Championship Course or (468/ 600) over the 600-point National Match Course.
  • Marksman Class: Any competitor having fired less than 78% over (779 or below/1000) over the 1,000-point National Championship Course or (467/600) over the 600-point National Match Course. ‘‘Any junior competitor having fired a score of 150 or above in the Junior Championship Match will be placed in the Marksman Class.
  • Temporary Master Class: Open class for competitors firing either course for the first time or who have not otherwise attained a regular classification. A Temporary Master shall remain in the competition against the Master class until he/she fires the complete aggregate in the 1,000- point National Championship Course or the 600-point National Match Course, or a sub-aggregate in the National Championship Course. Only Temporary Masters may attain classification on a sub-aggregate. At the conclusion of the shoot, he/she will be placed in the classification indicated by his/her aggregate or sub-aggregate score.
